Data Science Director

We are currently partnered with a global consulting firm, specializing in digital transformation and data science solutions. They partner with clients to solve complex business challenges across a range of industries to achieve improved enterprise-wide commercial growth, improved operational efficiencies and optimal customer experience and engagement.

Already disrupting the UK management consultancy market further to successfully securing major account wins from the Big Four, this company is investing in key platforms and resources to drive growth across their UK offices.

As the Data Science Director, you will be the main UK POC for all UK-wide data science project delivery, overseeing teams developing and executing data-driven strategies that optimize business performance and enhance decision-making processes, as well as embedding key AI and data science products and solutions.

You will flex exceptional commercial skills in new account wins and growing existing relationships and clients, therefore a strong background in consulting and demonstrable experience in securing commercial deals is key.

Naturally at this grade, you will have the chance to employ senior leadership qualities, working in harmony with clients to empathise, understand and dissect their challenges, as well as pull on your depth of expertise as to ‘the art of what’s (technically, and commercially) possible’ from an AI and data science perspective.

Skills & experience required:

• Educated to degree level in a quantitative subject; Machine Learning, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics etc.
• Proven experience in data science with the ability to inspire, guide and lead project teams.
• Expert in building and leveraging stakeholder relationships, in order to understand requirements and in turn build meaningful and impactful data science and AI solutions.
• Management consultancy experience is essential, including strong sales and business development skills.
