Data Scientist – Contract

We’re on the lookout for a fantastic 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 who has worked in fast paced organisations to join a rapidly growing start up in London.

⌚ 3-month contract starting ASAP – could extend

📍 2 days onsite Central London

💰 Outside IR35 (rate depending on experience)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-scaling, VC-backed start up. This role is ideal for a strong generalist who can flex between rapid analysis and deeper model development — helping the business make smarter, faster decisions across real-world delivery operations.

🎯 What You’ll Do:

• Deliver insights through both quick-turn spreadsheet-style analysis and structured model development
• Collaborate across operations, data, and product to drive continuous improvement in delivery performance
• Work autonomously in a fast-changing environment with high ownership

💡 What We’re Looking For:

• A strong generalist data scientist with a proven track record in fast-paced environments
• Fluent in Python (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL; comfortable with basic data infrastructure
• Experience with optimisation, clustering, or operations research a big plus
• Able to handle ambiguity, context-switching, and high volumes of data-driven requests
• Strong communicator who can balance tactical problem solving with strategic thinking
• Proactive and commercially aware — you see the bigger picture
