Advanced Analytics Consultant – Financial Services (Contract)

• Glasgow (Hybrid 2–3 days onsite)
• £- depending on experience – Inside IR35
• 6 months (extendable)

We’re partnering with a financial services client, currently building a new advanced analytics capability to support workforce planning and strategic decision-making. This role will play a critical part in shaping how leadership uses data to drive future workforce strategy.

This is a high-visibility contract, working directly with senior stakeholders in investment banking. The successful candidate will not only design and deliver decision support models, but also ensure they are adopted, trusted and used to guide key business decisions.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for building analytics and predictive models that answer strategic workforce.

Key activities include:

• Descriptive analytics, understanding internal HR and desk occupancy data, validating structure, quality and scope.
• Predictive analytics, forecasting attrition, hiring needs and workforce changes.
• Simulation modelling, running ‘what if’ scenarios to model the impact of leadership decisions.
• Stakeholder engagement, gathering requirements, translating business needs into models and explaining outputs to senior decision-makers.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced analytics professional who blends technical expertise with commercial and people-facing skills.

• Experience: 5–6+ years in advanced analytics, predictive modelling and/or decision modelling.
• Technical skills:
• Must-have: Python, R, SQL (advanced)
• Preferred: Snowflake
• Mindset: Trusted advisor who ensures models are not just built, but embedded and understood.
• Education: Degree in data science/analytics (preferred).
