Senior Platform Engineering Lead

Omnis is supporting a leading organisation in their search for a Lead Senior Platform Engineer to drive the design and delivery of modern cloudnative data platforms. This role blends hands on technical expertise with leadership and architectural ownership, offering the chance to influence large-scale cloud and data transformation programmes.

The Role

As Lead Senior Platform Engineer, you will:

• Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of cloud and data platform solutions.
• Architect, design, and implement solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Deploy and optimise modern data platforms (Databricks and/or Snowflake).
• Champion DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers, fostering skills development and excellence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into scalable solutions.
• Contribute to long-term engineering strategy and capability growth.

About You

• Strong track record designing and delivering cloud-native solutions.
• Hands-on expertise in at least two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep experience with Databricks or Snowflake (essential).
• Excellent knowledge of DevOps practices (Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD).
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience within engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Advantageous: familiarity with data mesh architectures.
