Artificial Intelligence; two words that are defining this decade. It is redefining all processes, and integrating itself into every aspect of life.Utilising LLMs and Machine Learning Models have become essential to competitive success, and are becoming of growing importance within every industry, especially Recruitment.
AI is being used more and more in the recruitment process, being able to screen CVs, match specific candidates to specific jobs, and even conduct initial interviews, using Computer Vision and NLP Deep Learning networks. This is obviously attractive for a lot of companies, and creates a faster hiring process, reducing unconscious bias and improving the overall candidate experience.
The role of Large Language Models in creating job descriptions, engaging with candidates and answering FAQs combates the time-sensitive and frequent struggle encountered when attempting to hire in this market. An easy solution is to work with AI-powered Chatbots that interact with candidates in real time to answer easy yet common questions, regarding timings, interview attendees and asking about a basic outline for the interview itself.
There are lots of broader emerging terms in AI that are linked to recruitment as well, more of which are useful than not. Some to name would be looking at predictive analytics for Job Suitability; LinkedIn is a prime example, matching and recommending jobs to your profile based on your assigned skills. Looking at this, there has to be a relationship between AI and Human Decision-Making; utilising AI for the preliminary process of recruitment of job searching, and candidate screening is invaluable, but there has to be a at the moment, human decision making and preference involved for things that are hard to quantify such as cultural fits.
Using AI to enhance the Recruitment process seems to become almost the inadvertent status quo. Leading firms such as LinkedIn have already integrated AI into their tool meaning that we are already using it unbeknownst to the wider market. I would encourage continuous awareness and learning to stay ahead within a technology driven job market, especially being able to utilise AI to enhance your job searches.
