Omnis Partners is partnering with a fast-growing AI start-up that helps enterprises turn AI ambition into production-ready solutions. They are building a platform that allows businesses to discover, assemble, and deploy AI agents at scale, securely and efficiently.

We’re looking for a Principal Engineer to define and lead the technical direction of their platform. This is a systems-level, hands-on leadership role where you will own architecture, engineering standards, and long-term technical health across frontend, backend, data, AI integrations, and infrastructure.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the end-to-end architecture of a complex AI-enabled SaaS platform
• Set technical principles, guardrails, and standards across engineering
• Make key build vs buy and integration decisions
• Shape API contracts, data models, identity/permission models, and service decomposition
• Ensure operational excellence, reliability, and scalability from first principles
• Mentor senior engineers and guide design reviews
• Embed AI-native workflows to boost engineering velocity without compromising control

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience leading the technical direction of complex SaaS platforms
• Strong architectural knowledge of TypeScript/React frontends, Python services, and relational databases
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, API design, async systems, and data consistency trade-offs
• Experience designing secure multi-tenant SaaS systems
• Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs while ensuring long-term technical leverage
• Strong operational mindset and excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in AI-enabled or agent-assisted workflows is a plus
