About the Company

Omnis Partners is exclusively working with a UK-founded, PE-backed technology consultancy with over a decade of experience building and deploying early-career engineering talent into enterprise environments.

The organisation operates at scale across the UK and internationally, partnering with FTSE 100 companies, government bodies, and large enterprise clients that require engineering and AI capability delivered at production level.

Its Technology & AI Institute is evolving from traditional training into a production-focused engineering capability function, designed to create engineers who can operate effectively in real-world enterprise systems from day one.

The Opportunity

This is not a conventional instructor role.

It sits at the intersection of:

  • Engineering capability development
  • Real-world enterprise delivery
  • Hands-on technical leadership

You will help shape how engineers are trained in modern cloud, DevOps, and AI-native engineering practices, and then remain actively involved as they are deployed into live client environments.

This role is designed for experienced engineers who want to broaden their impact without stepping away from technical depth or real delivery work.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Capability & Training

  • Design and deliver hands-on instruction across cloud, DevOps, and software engineering
  • Teach AWS and/or Azure cloud architecture (compute, networking, storage, IAM)
  • Deliver CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and platform engineering practices
  • Build practical learning experiences based on production environments

Embedded Client Delivery

  • Support engineers deployed into enterprise client environments
  • Work directly with clients on live engineering delivery
  • Maintain technical quality and ensure production readiness
  • Help solve real-time architecture and operational challenges

AI-Native Engineering Practices

  • Embed AI-assisted development workflows (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)
  • Deliver AIOps concepts (monitoring, observability, automated remediation)
  • Support AI-driven CI/CD, testing, and deployment workflows
  • Integrate LLMs and cloud AI services into production systems
  • Promote FinOps and AI-driven optimisation practices

Technical Requirements

  • Strong software engineering background (Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript)
  • Hands-on AWS and/or Azure experience
  • CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi)
  • Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architecture experience
  • Observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch)
  • Scripting in Python and/or Bash
  • Understanding of networking and security fundamentals
  • Agile delivery experience

Desirable Experience

  • AWS Solutions Architect or Azure certification
  • Kubernetes certification (CKA/CKAD)
  • Terraform Associate certification
  • Prior mentoring, coaching, or technical training experience
  • Agile/Scrum certification

What This Role Offers

  • A hybrid role combining engineering, delivery, and capability building
  • Direct exposure to enterprise-scale client environments
  • Opportunity to shape AI-native engineering practices at scale
  • Continued hands-on technical involvement in production systems
  • Influence across both training and live delivery functions
