The Company

You’ll join a fast-scaling, product-first technology company transforming how enterprises operate with AI. Following a major Series A, the company is now focused on building an elite engineering organization to scale mission-critical systems across backend, ML, and infrastructure.

This is a founder-led, high-velocity environment where engineers have direct impact on products used by demanding enterprise customers. Decisions are fast, ownership is high, and the technical bar is exceptional.

The Role

We’re hiring a Head of Engineering to lead and scale the engineering organization during a period of hypergrowth. You’ll report directly to the CTO and be responsible for building a high-performing team while maintaining technical excellence and culture.

You’ll balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight, shaping engineering priorities, architecture, and processes, while mentoring engineers and defining long-term technical vision.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and scale engineering across backend, ML, and infrastructure teams.
  • Own the end-to-end hiring process: define roles, recruit, interview, and close top talent.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices, code review standards, testing, documentation, and deployment processes.
  • Set priorities and roadmap in collaboration with CTO, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical code reviews and provide mentorship to engineers at all levels.
  • Drive architecture decisions and technical strategy to ensure scalable, robust, and compliant systems.
  • Foster a high-performance engineering culture of ownership, quality, and innovation.
  • Implement agile processes to enable rapid, reliable delivery.
  • Manage team performance through regular 1-on-1s, feedback, and career development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and security standards across engineering practices.
  • Contribute hands-on to critical technical challenges as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3–5 years in leadership roles (Manager, Director, VP).
  • Proven track record of scaling engineering teams (e.g., 10–40+ engineers) in fast-growing startups or scale-ups.
  • Strong technical credibility: full-stack, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and DevOps.
  • Experience establishing engineering best practices, processes, and culture at scale.
  • Hands-on ability to conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and contribute to critical technical decisions.
  • Experience shipping products rapidly while maintaining high engineering standards.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML systems and collaborating with AI teams is a strong plus.
  • Experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, or similar) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

This is a high-intensity, high-ownership role:

  • 12 hours a day, 5 days per week, in the office.
  • Direct collaboration with founders and executive leadership.
  • Small, elite, high-performing team.
  • No slow approvals, full responsibility for team and systems.
