Omnis has recently partnered with a soon to be Series-B sustainability start-up who are based 3 days-a-week in their Central London office.

We’re hiring an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of Software Engineers as they build out a best-in-class sustainability platform.

The successful candidate will be an engineering leader with a proven career in software engineering (building and operating) alongside building and coaching high-performing teams.

About the Role

Our client builds systems for sustainability reporting, enabling the union of various data points to create actionable insights for large organisations globally. This is an exciting mix of full-stack software engineering, backend systems engineering, data engineering and data science.

In this role, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for day-to-day technology execution, product delivery, and focus on delivering innovative product improvements.

This role will also interface with the leadership team on long-term strategy, helping engineers across the organization solve problems, and delivering excellent solutions for our customers.

Tech: JavaScript (Angular, TypeScript, React), Python

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience managing multiple software teams in a start-up.
  • A strong customer and product focus, experience working closely with Product Managers and Designers to define products, manage trade-offs, and drive user adoption.
  • Experience building software hosted in a cloud environment
  • Experiencing growing teams, hiring and coaching Engineers.
  • Exposure to Series B or Series C funding rounds.
