Senior Product Designer – Design Systems

A leading FinTech is hiring a Senior Product Designer to take ownership of their design system and visual identity. This is a rare opportunity to shape a mature, high-impact design function in a product-led organisation trusted by thousands of businesses across the UK.

The Role

As Senior Product Designer (Design Systems), you will:

• Define and evolve the company’s design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across digital products
• Create high-quality visual and interaction patterns that enhance brand expression and usability
• Collaborate closely with Product, Brand, and Engineering to deliver components that balance craft and performance
• Establish documentation, principles, and guidelines that support efficient and cohesive design at scale
• Champion best practices in visual design, prototyping, and cross-platform experience

About You

• Experienced Product or Visual Designer with a strong foundation in design systems, UI design, and visual storytelling
• Skilled in Figma, component libraries, and design tokens
• Able to work closely with engineers to bridge the gap between design intent and technical execution
• Comfortable working autonomously within an established design team
• Deep understanding of accessibility, responsive design, and brand consistency
• Previous experience in FinTech, payments, or product-led scale-ups is highly advantageous
• Consulting or agency experience welcome, particularly where you’ve delivered large-scale design systems for digital products
